Aufseesianum
The Aufseesianum, founded 1741 from Bernhard v. Aufsess, was built from J. H. Dietzenhofer as a dormitory for the Diocese from Bamberg and Würzburg.
To date it is still used as a boarding school. In 1972 it was the shooting location for the film “the flying classroom,” based on the novel from Erich Kästner.
